As we continue to expand our lab team, we are looking for someone with lab experience working with media prep, lab prep, and glassware and act as an information point for vendors working within the lab if needed.
Support and maintain compliant operations for the labs such as chemical hygiene inventory and haz-waste practices.
This is a day shift role M-F with some flexibility and OT potential as the expenses that run are 24/7.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for routine workplace and lab support maintenance activities related to housekeeping, inventory stocking, vendor escorting, and emergency deployment of maintenance services.
Laboratory and biological and chemical hazardous waste handling including chemical hygiene and inventory control.
Support management team with emergency response for housekeeping and safety incidents. After-hours and holidays may be required.
Your support will strengthen our shipping and receiving efficiencies related to critical incoming and outbound shipments.
You will interact directly with the Lab Operations Manager and Safety Coordinator to identify and correct maintenance and safety concerns. Your attention to detail and safety mindset will strengthen our ESH programs.
You will support workplace housekeeping, event setup, utility, and vendor tasks in collaboration with our G&A team
Your people and technical skill set will assist with vendor oversight during equipment maintenance and installation events to ensure safe practices
Your agility and mechanically oriented skills will support our continuous workplace and lab operations growth by assisting with minor equipment and furniture setup and ad hoc projects such as event setup and teardown
Assist with support maintenance problems related to facilities/building operations.
Manage Freshservice tickets for visitor and general office requests (excluding IT)
Minimum Qualifications
Education: GED or Technical Degree
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a similar role in life sciences
Basic computer skills
Ability to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays if necessary.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating flexibility to changing requirements.
Employee may be required to lift objects to 25lbs

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
