PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Enterprise Director of Sourcing Operations is responsible for building, implementing and communicating best sourcing practices, tools and processes to drive operational excellence. The Director of Sourcing Operations will lead continuous improvement programs and elevate PAFC’s organizational capabilities that align with Procurement's overall daily and long-term strategic goals. Manages Buyers across a geographically distributed team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads Buyers and collaborates with Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Legal, and Vendors to lead innovation, cost savings, and continuous improvement.
- Assists buying teams in identifying and analyzing cost savings, quality, productivity and synergy opportunities.
- Monitors progress against cost savings initiatives, providing improvement plan support and updates to senior leadership on emerging opportunities/risks.
- Implements appropriate performance metrics, including monthly reports and performance dashboards (highlighting achievements, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities).
- Leads the design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance of procurement systems, automation, and sustainability of best practice category management, strategic sourcing, SRM, and operational Procurement processes (e.g., data analytics, reporting, etc.)
- Develops strategies for Procurement technology adoptions, enhancements and developments (e.g. spend analytics, eProcurement, supplier collaboration, etc.).
- Drives implementations and adoptions of these important procurement technologies and supporting tools required to support category management, strategic sourcing, SRM, and operational procurement.
- Leads organization in the development, implementation, and management of supplier segmentation and supplier relationship management program inclusive of supplier scorecarding and supplier advisory board.
- Develops and maintains positive, productive, proactive relationships with several suppliers and company Stakeholders.
- Provides procurement project management support to deliver complex productivity initiatives

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management of a geographically distributed team.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
- Planning, assigning reviewing and directing work, evaluating, and appraising performance.
- Rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
- Makes hiring decisions and designs individual development plans with succession planning in mind for all key roles.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or Healthcare Administration or related required. Master’s degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in sourcing, including contract negotiations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the healthcare industry.
- Experienced and dynamic Director of Sourcing Operations with a strong background in the healthcare industry.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION
- Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) certification is highly preferred.

- Superior communication skills (written / verbal) including a proven ability to engage with senior executives (both within Finance and broadly within the organization).
- Strong organizational/time management skills.
- Demonstrated management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter, be able to manage an environment of change with a significant workload.
- Firm understanding of procurement/strategic sourcing end-user expectations and requirements
- Direct experience in working with D365 ERP
- Experience managing multiple priorities, projects, and tasks
- Track record of delivering results in both a single unit and across the entire organization
- Significant experience leading successful teams and projects (team development, planning, critical thinking, team-based problem-solving)
- Demonstrated strengths in relationship building, problem-solving, and conflict management.
- Strong positive interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to drive change and support multiple priorities simultaneously
