Position Summary
Under the direction of the Family Development Manager, the Family Development Coordinator will work with Cabbage Patch families to provide them with assistance, guidance, and provide support to help them enhance the stability of their households and the quality of their lives. S/he will utilize a strengths-based approach to case management in partnership with the client with the goal of helping the client to become as self-sufficient as possible.
The Family Development Coordinator will work with our Patch Parents group and help to organize and plan parent meetings. S/he will interact with adult and youth clients, volunteers and Patch employees who come from multicultural backgrounds. S/he will assist in the supervision of volunteers, student interns and staff members during selected programs.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain regular communication with parents involved in Family Development programs through various channels including phone, email, and in-person meetings.
- Assist in planning and executing major Family Development events such as Back to School, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Assistance programs.
- Gather client information, refer to external support services, and maintain up-to-date files for those receiving assistance.
- Support financial assistance processes and manage volunteer and staff involvement in Family Development activities.
- Provide Cabbage Patch staff with resources on community services, child development, and family dynamics, and engage with local agencies to enhance service provision.
- Manage the food pantry operations, including restocking and coordinating donations, and prepare food and household goods for distribution.
- Assist in fundraising, attending community training/meetings, and contribute to the monthly Program Report.
- Perform clerical duties including data entry, client record maintenance, and preparation of monthly reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Christ-like concern for all people. Ability to support the goals, philosophy, and beliefs of The Cabbage Patch Settlement House, Inc
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in family services, community outreach, or a similar role.
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain effective relationships through phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Experience with data entry and record-keeping; proficient in Microsoft Office and database management.
- Ability to coordinate and manage volunteers and staff within a non-profit environment.
- Knowledge of local community resources and agencies, with the ability to network and form partnerships.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
