Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care to children and families within a Level I Trauma Center setting. The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including laboratory tests and evaluations, to diagnose and treat a wide range of pediatric conditions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide expert pain management and dementia care to pediatric patients.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform procedures, such as suturing and casting, under the supervision of physicians.
- Collaborate with families to educate them on patient care, including dietary and exercise regimens.
- Utilize electronic medical records and eClinicalWorks to document patient information and track treatment outcomes.
- Participate in the development of patient care plans and contribute to the development of hospital policies and procedures.
- Provide patient care in an outpatient setting, including routine check-ups and treatment for acute illnesses.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of systems and processes to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to hospital safety protocols and lifting patients as needed.
Requirements
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Pediatric Nursing or a related field.
- Current certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (PACNP).
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state where the position is located.
- Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center or similar environment.
- Proven experience in patient care, including pain management and dementia care.
- Strong understanding of pediatric laboratory tests and evaluations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize patient needs.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and eClinicalWorks.
- Ability to lift patients and perform physical tasks as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $108,761.59 - $115,000.00 per year
