RNs: Lead a Rapidly Growing Hospital at Home Program as Program Manager!
At Brightstar Care of Greater Middlesex & Monmouth Counties in NJ, we are working with a world-renowned hospital system to expand an innovative new Hospital at Home program. The program launched two months ago and is growing quickly. We are hiring a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with a great interest in operations, leadership, management, and administration to oversee this program.
As our Program Manager, your leadership and organizational skills, supplemented by your Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and/or Emergency Room (ER) experience, will have a significant impact as we continue to grow this initiative. As an integral member of our healthcare leadership team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting well-being in the comfort of patients’ homes.
This full-time role is based on-site in our Piscataway, NJ office. Remote or hybrid applicants will not be considered, sorry!
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all elements of this program, which operates on a 24/7 basis. This includes but is not limited to RN hiring, training, and oversight of 15-30 RNs, scheduling, quality of care, thorough, accurate, and timely reporting of all patient results, and acting as the primary liaison with our program partners.
- Ensure RNs provide compassionate and comprehensive nursing care to patients in their homes, ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.
- Ensure RNs administer medications, treatments, and procedures with precision, adhering to prescribed protocols and guidelines.
- Ensure RNs monitor patients’ condition closely. Recognizing any changes or complications and taking appropriate action to prevent deterioration.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to establish coordinated care strategies, optimizing patient outcomes.
- Ensure RNs educate patients and their families on disease management, self-care techniques, and medication regimens, fostering a sense of empowerment and active involvement in the healing process.
- Ensure RNs utilize advanced technology and telemedicine tools to facilitate remote monitoring and consultations, ensuring seamless communication with the healthcare team.
- Maintain, and ensure RNs maintain, accurate and up-to-date patient records, documentation, and progress notes, in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Participate in, along with RNs, ongoing training, and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical knowledge and stay informed about emerging healthcare trends and best practices.
- Ensure RNs adhere to ethical and legal principles, maintaining confidentiality and respecting patients’ rights throughout the care journey.
Requirements:
- Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred; associate degree in nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a fast-paced ICU or ER setting, showcasing a strong clinical acumen (infusions, wound care, etc.) and critical thinking skills. Ultrasound guided IV skills a major plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative, leadership, operations, hiring and development healthcare experience.
- Comfortable utilizing technology to determine scheduling, providing care, and reporting patient results.
- Willingness to travel locally (Middlesex and Monmouth Counties) to oversee RNs care for patients.
