The Logistics Manager is responsible for supervising, scheduling, and coordinating the work of Logistics department staff.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage operations and employees within the Logistics department. Areas of work includes Ordering, Shipping, Spares Management, Accessory Fulfillment, and Recycling.
- Prioritize and delegate tasks/assignments to appropriate workgroup to meet productivity goals and service level agreements.
- Delegate work within the department to ensure that the workload is balanced for all team members.
- Create staffing schedules while considering; availability, budgeted hours, service level agreements (SLAs), and time required to support each client, task, or both.
- Hold direct reports accountable for production and meeting client requirements, SLAs, and expectations.
- Hire, train, and develop employees by providing clear direction and objectives as well as continued training, feedback, and support.
- Work in partnership with Project Management (PM) on various projects such as implementing new clients, migrations, refreshes, bulk ports, and configuring Intelligent Technology Management System (ITMS).
- Work with the Quality department to maintain a high level of accuracy and customer service.
- Collaborate with WidePoint Mobile Corporation (WMC) division to transfer and track devices to be sold and recycled.
- Manage recycling program for devices being recycled with Ecycle.
- Invoice management as it related to Logistics and including purchases for equipment, supplies, and services. Invoices must be organized and processed carefully to ensure that funds are issued accurately and within each vendor's terms.
- Develop policies and procedures for Logistics while considering the impact on other departments and clients.
- Track and provide reporting for Logistics volume, SLAs, inventory, recycling, and sales.
- Establish and maintain a comfortable and efficient work environment.
- Occasional travel as needed to support customers, projects, and WidePoint.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
The minimum qualifications include:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two (2) years or more of experience in the Telecom Expense Management (TEM) industry.
- Advanced knowledge of WidePoint clients, services, policies, and procedures.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly evaluate situations and make the most suitable decisions.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
- Ability to develop, lead, and motivate staff.
- Some travel may be required.
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
- Directs the daily workflow and schedules of the department, coordinating staff involved in logistics.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees following company policy.
