Position Summary:
Schow Restaurant Group Chefs work very closely with James Beard Award-Winning Chef Michael Schlow and the rest of the culinary team in menu development and execution. From Executive Chefs to Junior Sous Chefs, all BOH managers work in a teaching/learning environment. Chefs are expected to be skilled and creative cooks, have a strong work ethic, drive revenues while keeping prime costs at their targets and actively work the line with other cooks and sous chefs. Also, the Chef is tasked with creating weekly specials and evolving the menu with Michael Schlow. Most importantly, every person that works within the SRG family must have a warm, friendly and happy approach to life.
Requirements include:

1-3 years of Executive Chef or CDC experience at a high quality establishment .
An enthusiasm for Italian food, hospitality and constantly striving for guest satisfaction
Creating weekly specials and evolving the menu (within the guidelines of the concept) with Michael Schlow
A positive attitude towards fellow employees, strong leadership skills and attention to detail and the ability to work in a team environment
Candidates should be highly organized and efficient
Excellent skill that is represented by experience at high quality establishments
Open availability (must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays)
Duties/Responsibilities include:

Oversee and lead the entire kitchen team and BOH managers.
All hiring and training of new BOH employees
Oversee back of house management to ensure that the highest culinary standards are met
Support the front of the house team and managers in maintaining the highest hospitality standards
Create a vigorous learning environment and guide professional development
Oversees organization, efficiency and policies pertaining to the kitchen
Manage all schedules, labor and purchasing
Maintaining prime appearance and condition of the kitchen and interior employee areas of the restaurant

Compensation details:
