Overview:
The Sr. Biostatistician will work as part of a team responsible for analyzing health plan costs and utilization trends, quality of care (process and outcomes measures), efficiency and practice pattern variation, and other relevant performance metrics. The position will also provide statistical support to general R&D, Medical Affairs, and Pharma Services projects as needed. The position will play an active role in project conceptualization, methodological design, data extraction, and analysis for the Company.
This professional will work 100% work and must be located in the US.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzes health plan performance of multiple levels of provider aggregation including measures reflecting cost efficiency, clinical effectiveness, and other parameters.

Helps develop statistical analysis plans for a wide variety of study types.

Evaluate the quality of statistical analysis plans proposed by outside organizations.

Incorporates metrics and benchmarks (both internal and external) to proactively identify and evaluate both leading and trailing indicators of medical management/health services processes resulting costs, quality, and utilization trends.

Develop methodology for consistency and validity checking to assure accurate and meaningful results; Maintains data management process documentation as part of routine QA.

Performs ad hoc analyses and other duties and projects as assigned.

Writes analysis plans and portions of methods and results sections of manuscripts and reports.
Qualifications:
Required Work Experience:
-
5+ years of business experience.
-
Experience with basic statistical procedures including chi-square tests, t-tests, generalized linear models, design of experiments, survival analysis, Monte Carlo simulations and multiple testing issues

Familiarity with sample size and power calculations

Experience working with large data sets on remote servers

Ability to explain statistical concepts and relevant details of analyses to internal and external clients

Strong project management skills. High attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities

Explore and test creative solutions to solve complex data problems and apply CLSI standards

Apply analytical methods to diverse sources of data and share results in varying formats, including data manipulations, data visualization, and data engineering.

Preferred Work Experience:

Familiarity with common database structures and query languages such as SQL, SAS, and/or other similar analytical programs

Experience in applying computational methods in a regulated environment for companion diagnostics and clinical trials

EDUCATION
Master’s Degree(Required) in statistics, biostatistics or related field
