Sewer Underground Utilities Foreman in Civil Construction with Excavator Experience
Foreman Operator Excavator
The Civil Construction Foreman will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all the activities of a construction site according to project blueprints and schedule plans. duties include coordinating subcontractors, performing quality control and safety checks, and providing on-site direction on assigned construction sites.
Job Responsibilities:
- Direct field operations, including work schedules, project progress and allocation
- Develop construction schedules: short duration and overall project schedules for both workers and subcontractors
- Plan construction processes to keep project on budget (labor, materials, and equipment)
- Direct crews and assign tasks to meet daily and weekly production goals.
- Maintain a daily log for the job site’s operations, reporting to management as necessary
- Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient
- Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines
- Brief subcontractors as they start the job; regularly communicate status of project and any changes
- Partner with Superintendent on cost estimates for labor/supplies/materials and other project costs
- Collaborate with Superintendent to determine budget and timeline
- Look ahead 3 – 4 weeks to ensure materials and equipment are available
- Partner with Superintendent to coordinate materials/equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers
- Create schedules for workers and subcontractors
- Ensures quality control of all construction projects
- Adhere to project schedule; set intermediate milestones and production goals to meet or exceed project schedule
- Maintain the field files. Update with new information. Post and update drawings
- Communicate with manager for manpower and equipment needs
- Complete Daily Field Reports and confirm timecards are being filled out properly daily.
- Perform/Document weekly worksite safety meetings. Walk/Document site daily to ensure safe work environment.
- Communicate daily with Project Manager on schedule and budget status
- Monitor Subcontractors scope and performance
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 5+ years construction experience; 3+ field supervisory experience
- Ability to properly install storm, sewer, and water pipe
- Knowledge of OSHA ditch requirements and ALL other OSHA worksite requirements
- Ability to operate heavy equipment to excavate, install and backfill structures with pipe
- Valid WA DL with satisfactory driving record required (CDL A Preferred)
- Ability to lift/carry, on a frequent basis, at least 50 pounds, and at times, as much as 90 pounds, as may be assigned.
- Must be able to Pass Drug Test
Availability:
- Must be available M-F (Typical Start Time 6AM) + Emergency Repairs

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Civil Construction: 3 years (Required)
- trenching and shoring: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
- CDL A (Preferred)
- CDL B (Preferred)
