We are looking for talented and committed professionals in Speech Language Pathology, Board Certified Behavior Analysis (BCBA), Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy to join our team. All candidates must meet New York State licensing requirements for their respective fields. In this role, you will assess and treat school-aged clients diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities under general supervision. Your responsibilities will include engaging in collaborative, multidisciplinary approaches with a strong emphasis on parental involvement.
Candidates must not currently be employed by the Department of Education.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate communication, behavioral, sensory, and physical needs of school-aged clients with autism spectrum disorder and developmental disabilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and goals, integrating input from multidisciplinary team members and parents.
- Implement evidence-based interventions and therapies to address communication deficits, behavioral challenges, sensory processing issues, and motor skills development.
- Monitor progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes and meet client goals.
- Provide guidance and training to parents and caregivers on strategies to support therapeutic goals and enhance progress outside of sessions.
- Collaborate effectively with other professionals, including educators, psychologists, and healthcare providers, to ensure coordinated care and holistic support for clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, progress notes, and communication with team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State license in your field.
- Master's degree or higher in your discipline from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 3+ years of clinical experience, preferably in school-aged populations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
