This role can lead to design, support, and training roles. A successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring an accurate and timely installation of network equipment and cabling, as designed by GigaKOM's Engineering department.
Responsibilities
Physical installation of solutions at customer sites, including Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Cameras, and Cabling.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Provide internal support for GigaKOM
Qualifications:
Clean Driver's License
Expertise with basic hand tools
Comfortable with ladder work
Self-starter, detail oriented
No criminal record
Physical layer network troubleshooting (preferred)
Copper Cable Termination (preferred)1 or 2 years in low voltage data cabling (copper and fiber)
1 year of physical network device installation
Experience with copper and fiber cable pulling, termination, and testing.
Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.
Skills:
Ability to follow precise instructions.
Willingness to learn.
Physical layer network troubleshooting (preferred)
1 year of physical network device installation
Copper Cable Termination (preferred)1 or 2 years in low voltage data cabling (copper and fiber)
Communication Paths:
Reports Directly to: Manager of Engineering Field Services
Intra-department assist to: Sales Engineers
Inter-department assist to: Project Managers.

Additional Information:
Job Type: Full-time or part-time. Potential for Contract work
Compensation: $22 to $25 per hour to start BOE, Prevailing Wage increases to $38+ per hour.
Must have the legal right to work in the US without any visa(s). We are not sponsoring nor using any visa programs.
The primary work area will vary with the actual position. GigaKOM covers the entire state of California.
