The Staffing Coordinator will provide day-to-day coordination, scheduling, and staffing of certified home health aides and certified nursing assistants. The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for the intake of cases from agency referral sources and Case Managers and for the placement of appropriate personnel for each case. Must have the ability to multi-task and communicate effectively to clients and family members frequently. Teamwork and flexibility is a MUST!
Responsibilities:
- Manage a staffing caseload of clients and caregivers within a given region
- Identify hard to fill cases and take proactive actions
- Plan caregivers work schedules depending on their availability and preferences
- Review the requirements for each case to identify and staff with compatible caregivers
- Promptly secure coverage for all vacant shifts daily
- Efficiently utilize staffing software/programs to schedule caregivers, monitor staffing levels, and input related data
- Work alongside the Human Resources department to ensure caregivers' medical compliance with internal and external policies and regulations
- Perform additional duties and administrative functions as directed by management
- Maintains client confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have at least 1 year of Home Care staffing experience; private home care staffing required
- Complete knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Word and Outlook
- Must have the ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organization and follow-up skills and a willingness to work successfully at multiple tasks at the same time.
- Empathy for aging adults and an understanding of how best to support our Caregivers in what can be a stressful and challenging role.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to work creatively and at times independently to produce an optimum solution.
- Positive attitude.
- Ability to listen effectively, prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
- Must be willing to occasionally accept evening or weekend on-call work.
