Support Project Managers and field personnel with assigned tasks and activities on commercial mechanical construction projects; including HVAC sheet metal, plumbing and piping systems. Make sure goals are achieved in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Work as a team with assigned Project Managers.
- Assist with and/or perform responsibilities and tasks as delegated by the assigned Project Manager.
- Learn and become proficient user of Viewpoint Trimble /Spectrum project management software.
- Review, update and initiate, as directed, RFI’s for assigned projects.
- Ensure required submittal review and submittal logs are set-up and maintained.
- Manage and oversee required project administration and documentation for project close-outs.
- Participate in pre-construction turnover meetings for all assigned projects.
- Ensure required permits and/or licenses are obtained and posted.
- Coordinate required procurement of materials and equipment with Project Manager and Purchasing agent.
- Maintain the project procurement log with correct date information being provided to the client.
- Oversee tools and rental equipment use on all assigned projects. Ensure that any tools and rental equipment not required, or not being utilized, are returned immediately.
- Review subcontracts, drawings, and specifications for requirements of each project, in determining administrative needs, and in preparing deliverables.
- Liaison to subcontractors on scope requirements, scheduling, tracking progress, and invoice delivery.
- Coordinate project startup, commissioning, and punch activities.
- Review of project budgets and productivity.
- Support project field managers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager

- Knowledge of applicable software applications.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- BS Construction Management or BS Engineering, or BS Business.
- 1 - 4 years of experience in and knowledge of mechanical construction management.
- 4+ years in mechanical construction field experience.
