We are looking to hire the absolute best and brightest to join our team of dedicated professionals as a Maintenance Supervisor at our Downtown Grand Rapids community. You will leads teams at two side by side communities so we will need a sharp and experienced supervisor to keep it at the top notch level that it is!
The solid onsite team is looking for a proven leader that is customer service focused, organized, developmental, self-driven, passionate and transparent.
Responsibilities
- Prioritizing and completing work and repair orders in a timely fashion
- Managing onsite maintenance staff
- Capital Project Management
- Monitoring expenditures
- Keeping the community clean and well maintained
- Utilize your troubleshooting skills to respond to a wide variety of residential service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Prepare apartment homes for rent
- Perform routine preventive maintenance
- Maintain material and supply inventory
- Oversee work performed by outside contractors
- Ensure that any unresolved maintenance issues or concerns are reported to the Management
- Ability to work on-call hours that are rotated 1 week at a time between a staff of 6 maintenance techs with flexibility on scheduling. On call Bonus.
Requirements
- Previous experience (2 years) in a supervisor position in apartment industry
- Possession of tools needed to perform routine maintenance tasks
- Dedication to exceeding the needs of all customers with an ability to build and maintain relationships
- Demonstrate thoroughness, accuracy, and organization when accomplishing tasks
- EPA Universal Certification Required
- Ability to pass a criminal background and drug screening
- Must have your own general tools
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Ability to use electronic communication professionally and efficiently
- Must be a proven leader and team player
- Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
