A part of the Texas A&M University Health Science Center, Texas A&M School of Dentistry in Dallas was founded in 1905 and is a nationally recognized center for oral health sciences education, research, specialized patient care and continuing dental education. As one of the fastest-growing academic health centers in the nation, the Texas A&M University Health Science Center encompasses five colleges and numerous centers and institutes working together to improve health through transformative education, innovative research and team-based health care delivery.
The School of Dentistry is looking for an Administrative Coordinator to serve in the Office of the Dean. We desire an individual who subscribes to and supports our commitment as stated above. The successful applicant will bring an expert level of experience to the position and understand the demands of supporting executives in a fast-paced environment. This person must be professional, enjoy working in a high-volume environment and be able to apply strong organizational skills while being flexible in their daily routine. Work Schedule/Location: This is an on-site role with a typical schedule of Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm.

Salary:
Senior Administrative Coordinator I proposed minimum salary: $5,000 monthly
Administrative Coordinator II proposed minimum salary: $4,166.67 monthly
Administrative Coordinator I proposed minimum salary: $3,750 monthly
Qualifications*
Applicants will be selected into one of the titles below based on their qualifications and experience.
Required Qualifications:
Administrative Coordinator I: Bachelors degree and 2 years of office administration experience.
Administrative Coordinator II: Bachelors degree and 3 years of office administration experience.
Senior Administrative Coordinator I: Bachelors degree and 6 years of office administration experience
Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Professional experience in higher education.
Experience managing data records.
Experience in a dental office or related dentistry setting.
Ability to organize and prioritize work activities.
Experience in document management systems and project coordination.
Experience planning and coordinating events.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite software.
Experience administratively supporting a public health, health education, higher education, and/or programming unit.
Responsibilities:
Office administration: Provides advanced administrative and coordination support to the Dean’s office, the Chief of Staff and the Director of Strategic Initiatives with the ability to maintain confidentiality
Operations: Participates in the planning and execution of administrative operations. Plans, implements, coordinates, analyzes, monitors, and evaluates administrative support functions.
Projects & Written Correspondence: Monitors project timelines, identifies issues and proposes resolutions. Makes recommendations for process improvements, administrative changes, or new initiatives.
