Qualifications:
- Certificate (CDA) or Degree in early childhood or primary education is a preference
- Classroom Teaching/Leadership experience in an early childhood setting, minimum 2 years experience.
- Evidence of leadership or management in past employment
- Knowledge of teaching principles, practices, and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speech
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds. Physical stamina -- must be able to bend, stand, sit on the floor, etc.
- Must meet basic requirements of a child care regulatory agency to maintain a safe environment for children
Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be able to work both open 6AM, mid and closing 6:30pm shifts during the week, Monday-Friday.
- Positive attitude and willingness to improve are must have qualities for our team.
- Ability to relate positively with young children
- Ability to effectively conduct activities with young children and to effectively supervise children
- Ability to maintain the utmost self-control and patience as well as exhibit a positive tone and behavior with the young children, and your teammates at all times
- The good judgment to notify supervisors of anything that merits their attention
- Strong verbal/oral communication skills. The ability to communicate with students, parents, and others effectively and professionally
- Solid written communication skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment particularly in a crisis situation
- Knowledge about the social, emotional and developmental needs of young children based on education, past work experience, or as a parent or caretaker of a child
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in the workplace including the ability to communicate with students, parents, and others effectively and professionally
- Flexibility & Adaptability
- Position will be a front desk office position, assisting the Directors and Owners of the Pre-School in the growth and operations of the school
