The 2nd shift Welder is responsible for set-up, lay-out, and tack-up of various precision fuel tanks, trailers, sub bases and brackets. Move and flip tanks, trailers and sub bases throughout the facility.
Applicants should be:
- Able to work well individually or in a team environment
- Flexible to work overtime
- Able to make decisions based on experience and available data
- Capable of lifting/pulling/moving, ranging in weight, for 8 to 10 hours a day.
- Eager to learn and grow their current skillset
Essential Functions
- Set-up, lay-out, and tack-up of various precision frame weldments and brackets.
- Tack-up structures to tight tolerance
- Move parts and heavy frames on and off machinery and throughout the facility.
- Square up and weld various shapes of components.
- Read drawings and take measurements
- Weld both vertical and horizontal planes
- Weld out precision frames to exact tolerances
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
Required Qualifications
- One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Detail oriented with exceptional eye/hand coordination skills
- Ability to pass MIG welding assessment and become certified on required alloy/joint combinations
- Ability to read drawings and take or read measurements
- Ability to interpret specifications, blueprints, and work instructions
- Above average mathematic, organizational, and time management skills

- Work environment is a manufacturing warehouse atmosphere with extreme temperature changes, loud noises and machinery with moving parts. Work environment could also involve some outside exposure.
