About the Role
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be working with Technology Leadership and Dev/Ops Engineering groups including teams locally in Los Angeles and internationally. In your role and at the direction of the Manager of IT, you will manage, maintain, and grow Blu Digital’s infrastructure and IT support needs. In this growing team, you will primarily provide engineering and frontline support for on-prem and cloud-based infrastructure services for a globally distributed workforce. This is a heterogeneous environment using best of breed technologies and you will be instrumental in growing a high-performance, hybrid media services environment.
We are looking for a motivated, team-oriented go-getter, with a background in frontline support and systems/network administration experience, who wants to continue to grow their craft at a rapid pace. This person will support our core technologies as well as continually evolve our technology workflows to help meet the unique demands of our industry. As part of a small (but growing) team, your ability to impact and advance Blu's leading technologies would be nearly unlimited.

Responsibilities
-
Will participate in the growth and support of all compute, infrastructure, and cybersecurity
-
Will participate in frontline (helpdesk) service requests and an on-call rotation
-
Will primarily own network infrastructure, IT systems, internal tools, best practices, and client how-to’s
-
Will be instrumental in maintaining SLA’s and enforcing our cybersecurity posture
Qualifications
-
5+ years experience as a Systems Administrator with Windows, Linux, Mac, VMware
-
3+ years hands on with enterprise Layer 2/3 (Cisco, Juniper, Arista) networks , firewalls & wireless infrastructure

Demonstrated knowledge of current cybersecurity methodologies and tools for the enterprise

Data protection and preservation schemes and methodologies

Familiarity with SSO, MFA and other identity management services

AWS/CSP knowledge e.g., ECS, S3/Object Storage, VPC’s

General experience with collaboration tools, e.g. Jira, Slack, Google Workspace, O365

Experience with NAS/SAN appliances and file system protocols a plus

Not required but experience a plus in supporting creative environments using large, complex file and object based workflows with tools such as Adobe CC, Davinci Resolve on NAS and cloud

Strong communication and documentation skills
