As an SPDS, you will play a crucial role in guiding faculty teams through developing competitive proposals for federal, state, and private funding. Your expertise in navigating the intricacies of large-scale project management will be pivotal in aligning proposals with PSU’s goals and compliance standards, while also embracing our research community’s diverse perspectives and approaches.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with university leadership, faculty, and staff, to actively identify and foster new research collaborations across colleges. You will be instrumental in developing impactful interdisciplinary proposals and providing expert guidance on grant readiness, budgeting, and compliance. A key aspect of your work will include fostering compelling narratives that meet technical standards and reflect PSU’s commitment to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in our research initiatives.
You will manage and refine internal review processes, ensuring proposals are strengthened by diverse insights and feedback. Organizing collaborative grant writing events and workshops, you will facilitate knowledge sharing and inclusive participation, enhancing the quality and reach of our research endeavors.
Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President for Research, you will play a significant role in program management and research development operations at PSU. Serving as a dynamic team member, you will help drive PSU’s research advancement and growth. Your efforts will be crucial in equipping faculty to secure substantial extramural funding for major projects, fulfilling their research and training ambitions while advancing PSU’s inclusive research enterprise.
