Wolverine Enclosures has an immediate opening for a Southwest Michigan Field Foreman which specializes in the installation of aluminum composite panels and or Carpentry residing in Southwest of Michigan. The Southwest Michigan Field Foreman is responsible for the assembling, direct oversight, supervision, training, development, and hands-on with our field crew. The Southwest Michigan Field Foreman is also responsible for install, safety of the crew, the quality of products, efficient utilization of labor, and operation of equipment, technical problem solving, elimination of waste, and continuous improvement.
We are looking for a candidate that has minimum of 10+ years of supervisor experience, self-motivated hands-on candidate with a strong work history, perform multiple tasks while fabricating and assembling ACM and sheet metal products, according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings.
Daily Requirements:
- Assist and hands on supervise field crew and direct them in all aspects of install.
- Provide daily updates and meet regularly with the Project Manager.
- Travel to job sites to assist and new installation contracts as per project timelines.
- Project installation Monday-Friday.
- Follow directions and guidance from project lead, site foreman or project manager on job site.
- Review and understand project timelines.
- Dependable and productive outdoor worker.
- Work at heights with proper safety equipment.
- Able to lift to 50 lbs.
- 4-10hour day weather permitting, makeup day Friday Weekly commute to jobsite.
- Must be able to use a computer/smartphone/tablet efficiently.
- Maintain safe construction practices.
- Ensure quality on all jobs/rectify any deficiencies at a job.
- Reading and interpreting shop drawings, blueprints, and manufacturer’s instructions basic production related math skills. Utilizing oral and written instructions to determine size, shape, and type of material to use cutting, fitting, and assembling material in accordance with manufacturer’s shop drawings specifications.
Experience:
- Assist and managing field crews
- Operating fork lift and side loader to move material on the jobsite.
- Make adjustments to ACM panels on the jobsite when needed.
Requirements:
- 10+-year Experience in leading construction crews, building, contractor services or related field. Sheet Metal and Carpentry Experience is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with basic hand tools ie: tape measures, screw guns, snips, grinders, and saws.
- Trained and experienced in operation of construction equipment is preferred
