Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef that specializes in Jamaican cuisine. to join our team. The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing all culinary activities in our restaurant, ensuring high-quality dishes and smooth kitchen operations.
Duties:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Create innovative menus and develop new recipes
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations
- Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders
- Supervise food production to ensure consistency and quality
- Oversee inventory management and control
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with restaurant management to plan and execute special events
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in Jamaican cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of menu planning, food management, and kitchen operations
- Familiarity with inventory management practices
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
