Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and coordinating the preparation of meals
- Oversee and participate in the cooking, plating, and presentation of dishes according to menu specifications
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create new recipes and menus that showcase creativity and innovation
- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to all kitchen standards and practices
- Supervise the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and facilities
- Take inventory of supplies and ingredients, and place orders as needed
- Assist with managing food costs and reducing waste through efficient preparation and portion control
- Stay updated on the latest culinary trends and techniques, and bring new ideas to the team
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working in a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- A passion for food and creativity with the ability to showcase innovation in dishes
- Excellent leadership and mentoring skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Certification from a culinary school or relevant training program is a plus
