We are a small, local, female-owned and operated Pilates Studio on the West Side of Santa Cruz, near downtown. We offer comprehensive Pilates training including Reformer and mat Pilates and pride ourselves on being an inclusive space where all bodies are welcome.
About the Role:
We are looking to add a team member to our studio who can not only provide excellent customer service, but also support us in keeping the studio and its systems organized and well-running. Bonus if you have any experience with marketing, especially with creating content for social media and/or using Canva. As a Front Desk Administrator at our Pilates Studio, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and organized environment for our clients. This role requires a combination of excellent customer service, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask.
Hours will vary: 12-16 hours per week, Monday- Sunday. Pay is $18.00-$22.00 per hour dependent on experience.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet and welcome clients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist clients with inquiries, class schedules, and studio offerings.
- Provide information on classes, packages, and membership options.
- Handle phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries promptly and courteously.
Scheduling and Booking:
- Manage class schedules, appointments, and reservations using studio management software.
- Assist clients with class bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date information on class availability.
Payment Processing:
- Process payments for classes, memberships, and retail products.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records.
- Provide receipts and assist with billing inquiries.
Studio Operations:
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
- Maintain and clean Pilates equipment and props.
- Monitor studio supplies and coordinate replenishment as needed.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and comfortable studio environment.
Client Relations:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Address and resolve client concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
- Collect feedback and communicate it to the management team.
Marketing Support:
- Assist in promoting studio events, workshops, and special offers.
- Distribute promotional materials and keep the community informed about studio updates.
- Support marketing initiatives to increase client engagement.
- BONUS if you have experience making content for social media.
Administrative Tasks:
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth studio operations.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in using computer software for scheduling and payment processing.
- Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role is a plus.
- Knowledge or interest in Pilates and fitness is beneficial.
- Ability to maintain a positive and energetic attitude.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move equipment when necessary.
