We are growing! HomeCare Maryland is currently looking for a full-time Home Health Aide to work in and around the Baltimore County and City area.

Summary of Position: To give personal care and perform related housekeeping services in the place of residence for sick, disabled, dependent, elderly patients. To provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs). To perform personal care only according to the scope indicated on the Care Plan developed by a Registered Nurse.
Essential Functions:
Carries out the duties indicated on the Care Plan developed by the Registered Nurse and assists the patient with the following procedures:
- Bathing, change of bed linens, toileting, dressing, shampooing, feeding, shaving, and mouth care
- Simple exercise program, ambulation and transfer activities specifically described on the Care Plan
- Temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, every visit
- Basic skin care
- Simple dressing/bandages
- Light housekeeping activities
- Reports to the supervising Registered Nurse any changes in the patient’s mental or physical condition or any problems encountered while caring for the client in the home and records findings on the appropriate visit note
- Submits documentation of patient care according to agency policy
Qualifications/Requirements:
- GNA/CNA certification in the State of Maryland
- Current CPR - BLS for healthcare providers
- Successful completion of a skills competency evaluation
- Completion of a certified Medicare approved training course which provides 75 hours of training and 30 hours of supervised clinical practice
- At least one year of hospital, nursing home, or home care related experience
