Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Diesel Technician/Supervisor to support our Truck Fleet at Wall Recycling
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Maintains a working knowledge of the following vehicle and equipment components and systems, with the ability to perform preventative and repair maintenance functions:
- Chassis component repair and maintenance
- Refuse bodies and heavy equipment, including control, hydraulic and electrical systems; and air and hydraulic braking systems
- Engine repair and maintenance
- Suspension, drive-train and steering systems; and Heating and air conditioning
- Safely provides road service when necessary to ensure that our equipment is returned to operation in a safe and efficient manner
- Performs line maintenance welding and fabrication
- Identifies the source of the malfunctions using a variety of electronic tools
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
- Basic tools, required
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of diesel engines including:
- Routine preventative maintenance, which should include oil changes, brake and tire work
- Diagnostics and repairs, including AC, electrical systems
- Advanced skilled level repairs to include some major engine repairs, diesel after treatment
- Four (4) years or more Relevant work experience, preferred
- Must have demonstrated advanced analytical and repair skills in vehicle maintenance
- Effective interpersonal communication skills
- Must have basic computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc
- Must have valid drivers license, be reliable and punctual.
- Demonstrate ability to coach/mentor/influence others to create positive and productive work environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
