Position: Director of Education and Staff Development
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced RN to serve as Director of Education and Staff Development. This individual will be responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of educational programs and initiatives to ensure the professional growth and competency of our staff. The Director will work closely with all departments to promote a culture of continuous learning and excellence in resident care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee orientation and training programs for new hires.
- Conduct ongoing education and training sessions for current staff to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify educational needs and create targeted training solutions.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements to ensure staff education remains relevant and up-to-date.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of staff training and development activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Education, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare education or staff development role, preferably in a long-term care or nursing home setting.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in nursing and healthcare.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in resident care.
