Summary
The assembly operator position assembles parts on a line. The Operator's primary responsibility is correctly assembling and checking parts for quality to support the company mission "to deliver good products on time."
Responsibilities
- Ensure products adhere to required specifications
- Perform visual and/or other types of inspection of components, sub- assemblies, and end product to ensure quality control
- Works on an assembly line as a team member, performing various tasks as various models of product move along line
- Reviews work instructions for details and information specific to the model being assembled
- Bolts, clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together in relationship to each other in accordance with the process manual and work order instructions
- Works at different operator stations and on different assembly lines as production needs require
- Meets department standards for efficiency, productivity, and quality
Qualifications
· Must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively.
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Previous experience as an Assembly Operator or in a similar manufacturing role is preferred.
· Familiarity with related equipment.
· Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and performing minor maintenance.
· Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
· Ability to work independently and follow standard operating procedures.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Physical Requirements
· Exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
· Physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach and move across uneven surfaces. Ability to stand most of the shift.
