We are looking for an experienced System Engineer with the expertise to secure and manage complex systems. This individual will also have the desire and ability to grow their personal skillset. This includes achieving industry and product specific certifications.
The right person for this position has the ability to do the everyday work of network administration, systems maintenance and troubleshooting, advanced Microsoft Server setup and administration, implementing cybersecurity best practices and has a willingness to grow additional compliance expertise. Individuals with prior NIST 800-171, CMMC, and similar compliance experience preferred. The salary for this position will range with the applicant’s expertise.

Summary
This position is responsible for handling support of all basic, intermediate, advanced, subject expert level service requests in a professional and timely manner for technology including workstations, servers, printers, networks and network devices, hardware, software, and related.
You must know how to make Active Directory "Sing" and know how to handle DNS.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for improving client service, perception and satisfaction
- Completing fast turnaround of client requests
- Working in a team and communicating effectively, collaborating with other techs of various levels as needed
- Working with office staff to ensure customer requests are routed to the proper resources to be resolved quickly and efficiently
- Entering time and expenses in CRM & ticketing software as they occur
- Understanding processes in CRM & ticketing software by completing the assigned training and materials in CRM & ticketing software training university portal
- Working through daily schedule and project tickets in CRM & ticketing software as directed and assigned by the account representative, President or other supervisor(s)
- Entering all work as service or project tickets in CRM & ticketing software
- Creating accurate and thorough documentation of system(s) in specified documentation database Reviewing IT publications and online material to remain up-to-date with current and emerging technologies in the industry
- Attending weekly staff meetings and providing information and input as needed
Essential Functions
- Perform and provide the services of Level 1, 2 and 3 Technicians as needed
- Provide subject matter expert level support in one or more areas as a primary company resource in that or those area(s) of subject matter.
- Provide expert level IT Support relating to technical issues and involving Microsoft’s core business applications and operating systems, internal systems, network infrastructure, and hardware support
- Provide expert level network level technical services: TCP/IP, Subnetting, WAN and VLAN, routers, firewalls, security, and related.
- Provide expert level remote access solutions support: VPN, RDP, Terminal Services and other remote software
- Create, configure, maintain, secure and install VMs, virtualized workstations and servers
- Create, configure, secure and maintain network domains including rules, policies, alerts and permissions
- Provide expert level administration and monitoring of remote monitoring and management systems: Update agent scripts, respond to alerts, monitor dashboard and periodic system review
- Create system documentation, perform maintenance and updates in CRM & ticketing software
- Provide document maintenance for all computer systems and network infrastructures
- Communicate with clients professionally and courteously as required: provide updates of incident progress, notification of impending charges and scheduled maintenance or downtime to Account rep and other staff so they can inform, and get approval from, the customer
- Understand overall project objectives, as well as the role and function of each project team member
- Ensure project objectives and requirements are clear and agreed upon by all team members
- Coordinate delivery and implementation of projects that meet quality assurance standards
- Drive problem solving, investigation and resolution as required
- Ensure that risks are identified, communicated and mitigated
- Maintain technical documentation while protecting and securing all client and company data
Minimum Qualifications
- Professional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft MCP, MCSA or MCSE, CCPA, Cisco CCNA or VMware VCP, or equivalent experience, or SSCP
- Interpersonal skills: Telephony, communication, active listening and customer care
- Ability to diagnose technical issues, multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
- Technical awareness: Ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately
- Service awareness of all organization’s key IT services for which support is being provided
- Ability to use and understand support tools, techniques and technology used to provide IT services
- Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
- Maintain a personal vehicle for client site visits and support related travel
- BA/BS, preferably related to technology, or equivalent experience supporting subject matter expertise
- Minimum 5 years of IT or related work experience in addition to any relevant classroom experience
- Documented experience performing and demonstrated ability to perform all duties, responsibilities, and essential functions of the Level 1, 2, 3 and 4 Service Technician positions

Schedule and Hours
Exempt, full time, 40 hour/week. Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, occasionally work off-hours or weekends as required

None. Collaborates with other technicians or company staff as needed
Compensation
Salary based on experience and qualifications. $120,000 to $180,000
