Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical tasks. This position is based in a hospital setting.
Duties:
- Perform vital signs measurements, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and respiratory rate
- Assist with patient examinations and procedures under the supervision of healthcare professionals
- Administer medications as directed by physicians or nurses
- Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, such as X-rays or laboratory tests
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Assist with patient education and provide support to patients and their families
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical role is preferred
- Proficiency in medical coding and terminology
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is required
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Familiarity with X-ray procedures is a plus
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times
