Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales management and possess excellent time management skills. Experience with cash registers, POS systems, stock management, and effective communication is essential. Previous experience in grocery stores or retail environments is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Store Manager in daily operations and staff supervision
- Oversee cash register operations and ensure accuracy in transactions
- Manage stock levels, conduct inventory checks, and place orders as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and vendors
- Assist in creating attractive product displays and promotional setups
- Monitor and maintain store cleanliness and organization
- Support in training new employees on store procedures and policies
Experience:
- Proven experience in sales management within a retail environment
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Proficiency in operating cash registers and POS systems
- Knowledge of retail math for pricing, discounts, and promotions
- Familiarity with inventory management practices
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced grocery store setting
