A local flooring and flood restoration company is looking for an experienced person who can manage sales staff, office personnel, warehouse employees, project managers, and flooring installation crews. The operation also encompasses several company trucks, equipment, tools, and a warehouse where various flooring materiel and flood and flooring equipment is stored.
We are an owner-operated, well-established flooring and flood restoration company that has been in business since 1979. Currently, the company is experiencing significant growth in its multi-faceted business. We are looking for an energetic and experienced Flooring Operation Managers, who is able and willing to provide exceptional leadership to the company's various teams and serve as the owner's go-to-person to run the daily operations, resolve every day challenges, communicate with customers and staff to provide solutions, and help the company advance to the next level. Candidate must have relevant experience and the ability to work independently and within teams, be self-motivated, handle stress and communicate well with customers and company's various work teams. As a small business, candidate is expected to perform a wide range of tasks and responsibilities.
This is an upper management position and will be compensated as such. Salary will be depend on qualifications and experience with periodic evaluations and opportunities for raises and bonuses depending on performance and accomplishments.
Examples of Responsibilities:
Manages the company's employees, their trucks and equipment, and their daily schedules and assignments. Ensures staff completes their work timely and accurately. Assigns staff work and communicates with them throughout the day. Provides exceptional customer service and resolves customers problems in a timely manner. Maintain office files and records. Other related duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in the industry and in staff management and supervision are a must and are important elements for success
- Experience in the flooring and flood restoration industry
- Proven record of managing a multi-faceted operation
- Ability and experience in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring highly qualified employees> The ideal candidate would have current connections in the flooring industry in San Diego
- Experience in dealing with insurance companies and Xactimate is a plus (or ability and willingness to learn)
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Must have a professional appearance and 3 work related references.
- Must be honest, reliable, and hardworking
- Must have own transportation and be accessible through cell phone
- Must be able to perform other related duties as needed
- Must be able to pass employment verification (this company conducts e-verify procedures)
- 90 Day probationary period
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
