SUMMARY:
Wolf Greenfield & Sacks (“WGS”) seeks a Legal Training & Knowledge Manager (“LTKM”) to focus on substantive and skill-based legal training for attorneys and technology specialists, and to identify, track, organize, and index all WGS practitioners’ legal and technical expertise.
Among other things, the LTKM will enhance the firm’s onboarding and integration of entry-level professionals by providing immediate substantive legal training and practice guidance. The LTKM will be responsible for collaborating with others at the firm who manage and facilitate firm training programs and will be asked to conduct group presentations on various IP topics and general practice skills. The LTKM will establish a knowledge management function for the firm, centralizing and capturing all collective wisdom (e.g., work product, technical abilities, areas of expertise, etc.) from all WGS legal practitioners. This position will have no billable hour requirement.
This position requires an ability to (1) work in a fast-paced environment, (2) flexibly pivot to prioritize competing demands, and (3) think creatively and strategically. The LTKM will be based in our Boston office (hybrid), requiring in-office presence on Wednesdays, and as requested by firm management. The LTKM will report to the Director of Professional Development, will work within the Legal Recruiting and Professional Development department (“LRPD”), and will collaborate closely with the Professional Development & Training Team. This position will take directives from the Training Committee Chair, as needed.
The LTKM will actively meet with the firm’s Training Committee, the Practice Group Leaders (“PGLs”), and other stakeholders to aid in the development and retention of the firm’s exceptional legal talent. The LTKM will also collaborate closely with all legal practitioners on a regular basis to ensure that the knowledge management content is up to date. In addition, the LTKM will be expected to routinely meet with the firm’s Client Services team to ensure that the knowledge management system can be utilized for client pitches and other related efforts.
MUST HAVES:
- Juris Doctor required.
- 4 years legal experience in patent prosecution and counseling at a law firm and experience working with legal Knowledge Management functions, a plus.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, and the ability to confidently and comfortably present in front of both large and small audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the desire to engage practitioners.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Excellent organizational, project, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects at once, realign priorities, and work independently to drive projects to completion.

Location (Hybrid): Boston, MA
The expected salary range for this position is $190,000 - $260,000 annually. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Wolf Greenfield offers a comprehensive benefits package.
