What We Are Looking For:

Must be 18 years-old or older and possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Passion for working with elementary-aged children in an educational setting

Strong communication and organizational skills

Position Details/Schedule:
This is a short term position to fill a community need for the Mountain View School District. We will be offering a 3-week Summer Day Camp to the community before the students go back to school. The schedule will be as follows:

July 15-19: Training/Shadowing at the Santa Anita Family YMCA in Monrovia

July 19: CPR Training at the Santa Anita Family YMCA in Monrovia, 11am-1pm
-
July 22-August 9: M-F Summer Day Camp, hours ranging from 7:00am-6:00pm, at the Mountain View Family Center in El Monte
Required Trainings: The YMCA offers free CPR/First Aid classes for all summer employees, which are also paid trainings:

Friday, July 19, 11am-1pm
Additional training and on-site program prep will also be required. All training hours are paid.
Upon hire, the YMCA provides all youth development staff with paid trainings throughout the season in the following areas: child abuse prevention, mandated reporting, positive discipline and child guidance, supervision and safety, risk management, programming, active shooter, diversity & inclusion, anti-bullying, communication and child development.
