J. Lynn Enterprises, LLC, is a private consulting firm providing comprehensive Transition Services for individuals with disabilities throughout the United States with a reputation of excellence, white-glove attention to clients, and 24-7 support if/when needed. Our mission is to provide assessment, planning, and individualized services that design and create futures in which both families and students can believe in. We are looking for professionals to join our team as subcontractors. You must have special education background, 5-7 years of experience working with individuals with autism and learning disabilities, and clinical knowledge/background with an understanding of the behavior and psychology of various disability diagnoses. You must be able to work creatively and independently and have the genuine desire to promote the highest of expectations for individuals who face multiple barriers with a “can do,” “do what it takes,” and empowering intention within a community-based, real-life setting.
You will be responsible for designing and providing specialized, 1:1 instruction in the area of adult living skills, career development, social skills, executive functioning coaching, and therapeutic mentorship while promoting optimal independence. You must be able to work dynamically within a transdisciplinary team environment with an understanding of the complex needs of our clients and the struggles families endure. We have part-time opportunities immediately available to work 15-25 hours per week plus in the Weston, Mass area. Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Special Education, Vocational Rehab Counseling, Special Education or related degree. A talent in developing rapport with individuals with disabilities and their families; must have teacher/instructor skills and ability to work with assigned curriculum; a willingness to work non-standardized hours, have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license and insurance; professional communication (both verbal and writing) must excel at creative problem solving and critical thinking and have strong organizational skills with an ability to work independently, develop opportunity and resources and relationships including work opportunities and leisure activities, prioritize tasks and manage time; teach self-determination skills and utilizes various assistive technologies. Individuals must be computer literate. Our hourly rate is commensurate with education and experience in the range of $55-$75 per hour.
