- Obtain appropriately-detailed medical histories.

- Diagnose medical, surgical, and other conditions.
- Recommend and prescribe treatments appropriate to diagnosed conditions, in consultation with the physician.
- Perform a variety of procedures.
- Timely document all patient developments and care in the electronic medical record.
- Participate in continuing medical education, both conventional and functional, including print, webinars, lectures, seminars, trainings, and conferences.
- Order consultations and interact with members of other specialty teams.

- Participate in all aspects of business development and promotion as assigned.
Functional medicine training is a bonus but not required. You can learn everything you need to know as long as you have self-motivation, a mind open to true evidence-based medicine, and a thirst for knowledge. Whereas few nurse practitioners have any exposure to a root cause resolution approach to health, once you learn it and start seeing results unobtainable with conventional medicine, you won't be able to go back. You will still prescribe pharmaceutical agents as appropriate, but with greater respect for the side effects and risks you did not learn about in school.
If you are looking for a career wherein you are the catalyst for transformation in people's lives, you have found it. As a bonus, you get to live in middle of a world-renowned vacation destination. You can enjoy the benefits of small-town warmth and community in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Moab is ready for you!
