Lead Sign Installer

Required Skills and Experience:
- Prior Exterior Sign Installation Experience – Channel Letters, Digital Signage, etc..
- Interior Sign Installation Experience – Electrical, Non-Electrical, Vinyl, etc…
- Able to lead a team of installers (from one to six individuals on a job site)
- Able to make decisions on their own and able to responsibility as to why that decision was made
- Be a mentor to others and educate them in the industry and help them become masters of their craft
- Excellent communication skills, especially grammar and spelling
- Intermediate math skills
- Basic project management
- Valid driver's license
- Ground-level sign installation (wall, glass, floor graphics, lobby signs, etc.)
Desired skills
- Project management (from inception to close out) for outsourced production and installation
- Ability to work a forklift, tractor, bobcat type of vehicle regarding installs and receiving
- OSHA Certifications regarding lifts
- Router and Laser familiarization
- Welding capabilities to include aluminum welding and steel welding
Core Responsibilities
Work with junior installers and in-house fabrication specialists to meet customer deadlines and project completion. Also, able to work with the sales-end of the house to discuss fabrication, installation, and material types to use on types of signs and projects. Coordinate with sales regarding installs and any delay in production as necessary.
Assist maintenance and organization in the back of the house to ensure that it is functioning in an efficient manner. Ensure junior installers and fabricators are maintaining a safe and clean work environment from everything to the shop to the company trucks.
Be that person for the junior installers can look up to and want to emulate.
Installations
- Have significant mechanical capability to develop effective and safe ways to install, mount and place signs.
- Be able to install a wide variety of signs (from vinyl windows to vehicle decals, to monument signs, channel letters and dimensional letters).
- Work safely during all installation including from all heights.
- Be able to travel as needed (with own vehicle) to installations. Include being able to transport all the needed supplies for the installation job.
