About Wisconsin Civic Power Table
The Wisconsin Civic Power Table (WCPT) is a 501(C)(3) fiscally-sponsored organization and the Wisconsin affiliate of the State Voices network. WCPT convenes a community of 45+ partners, providing support, accountability, and cohesive strategy to build collective and well-organized power. Specifically, WCPT provides capacity support, grants, data, tools, and coordination to help its partners create a healthy and thriving democracy through a racial equity lens. WCPT and its partners promote civic engagement, access, and representation through a variety of methods, including: voter education, registration, and mobilization; issue advocacy, base building, community organizing, communications, and litigation. Position Overview
The Wisconsin Civic Power Table seeks a motivated and organized individual to join our team in the capacity of Coalition Coordinator. This role will implement the Table’s partnership strategy and serve as a liaison between partners and the Table. With guidance, the Coalition Coordinator will build relationships and manage processes to recruit, onboard, and retain partner organizations. Additionally, this role will coordinate capacity-building support and meetings to serve the needs of partners and the coalition. The ideal candidate will have experience organizing in Wisconsin, is able to effectively manage projects and processes, and will have a knack for making connections. This position will report to the Deputy Director.
Principal Responsibilities for the Position:
● Hold 1-on-1 meetings and engage with partners’ programs to build relationships, provide support, and serve as a liaison for the Table
● Implement the Table’s partnership strategy, including onboarding, contact management, and accountability processes
● Coordinate the logistics, materials, and facilitation for regular Table meetings
● Foster collaboration and community among partners by supporting coalition-wide activities
● Organize and communicate regular updates, resources, and opportunities for Table partners
● Expand participation in the coalition with emphasis on groups from traditionally marginalized communities (such as BIPOC, low income, LGBTQ+)
● Inform the coordinated strategy with insights from partner relationships and communications
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
● Minimum 1-3 years experience building coalition and community in Wisconsin
● Creative, ambitious, and strategic
● Well-organized and capable of managing concurrent projects
● Strong written and verbal communication skills and an engaging, helpful personality
● Proficiency in Google Suite or comparable office software
● Demonstrated commitment to the liberatory politic necessary to achieve an inclusive and effective democracy
Compensation + Benefits: This is a full time position. The proposed salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000. The Wisconsin Civic Power Table provides a full benefits package that supports the employees’ well-being, financial security, and familial needs.
Location: Applicants must reside in Wisconsin. Some travel required.
