We are seeking a Sr. Microsoft 365 Admin for a Fulltime Hybrid position requiring a minimum of 2 days per week Onsite at our Kansas City, MO office. This position is responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of the firm's Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online. Oversees the user experience, ensuring secure operation of the cloud-based infrastructure, providing seamless access to tools and applications, and addressing any issues that arise within the platform.
Implement, manage, administer, and support Microsoft 365 core technologies including but not limited to: Microsoft Exchange Online and Outlook; Email Flow Management and Microsoft Entra ID User and Group Management.
Oversee the configuration and support of other M365 services such as SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business and Teams.
Manage user accounts, set up permissions, and monitoring system health while also safeguarding the firm's data and compliance with relevant policies.
Configure and maintain mailboxes, including email forwarding, shared mailboxes, and email security settings to ensure secure and efficient email communication.
Develop and implement project plans for Microsoft 365 related projects such as migrations from on-premises environments to Microsoft 365, while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Provide advice to vendors when required and work with other support teams to ensure the successful delivery of M365 operations and support services.
Contribute to internal and external communications as they relate to M365 architecture, performance, capacity, and capabilities to support business processes.
Provide and analyze data for management reporting and metrics.
Collaborate on the development and implementation of policies for the use Exchange/M365 including documentation and training related to policies and procedures.
Ensure appropriate availability of Exchange/M365 services including tracking and reporting of key metrics.
Implement and manage M365 compliance features, including data loss prevention (DLP), eDiscovery, and retention policies to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Collaborate closely with internal security to ensure compliance with internal security objectives.
Conduct root cause analyses, identify appropriate solutions, and implement them.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.
Resolve incidents escalated from the technology solutions center - proactively monitor and address support tickets via the ticketing solution.
For up to a week at a time, is on-call on a scheduled basis 24 hours a day. During scheduled on-call time, remains in a position to receive support calls and answer them quickly and thoroughly in a professional manner.
Leverage diagnostic tools and collaborate with vendors to find root cause and resolution of major incidents and problems.
Mentor and cross-train team members on existing and new M365 application services.
Must have good organizational skills and the ability to follow-through on projects with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to condense complex information into simple language for the appropriate audience.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 Exchange Online Administration, design, configuration and maintaining Microsoft Exchange servers 2016 or above.
Experience with Microsoft Exchange Enterprise Deployment.
Understanding of mail routing, transport rules, SMTP relay, power shell scripting, and M365 threat protection policies.
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Admin Center, License Management (VLSC), Integrated Apps deployment, and experience with M365 administration support.
Understanding of security and compliance features within Office 365.
Power Shell Scripting experience for automation and management tasks.
Working knowledge of multi-factor authentication applications (preferably Okta) in conjunction with Microsoft 365.
Strong background in IT infrastructure, cloud services, and network administration.
