Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing behavior plans and assisting with daily living activities. Your role will be crucial in helping individuals achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
Duties:
- Implement behavior plans developed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized care plans
- Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Utilize applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to promote positive behavior change
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation and records
- Monitor and report any changes or concerns in client behavior or progress
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe environment for clients
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in psychology, special education, or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
