Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children with developmental disabilities and creating a supportive learning environment.
Duties:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide instruction tailored to the individual needs of each student
- Utilize behavioral therapy techniques to manage student behavior effectively
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to support student progress
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- State certification in Special Education
- Experience working with children with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavioral management techniques
- Familiarity with speech therapy and early childhood education practices
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
