Our growing small group is expanding to add new clinicians. We have practice locations in the North Carolina and Virginia (DC metro) area and are providing services to 14 states. We are a telehealth group working completely remote and offering a flexible schedule and excellent reimbursement compensation to providers who want to work for themselves either full or part time with a minimum time commitment of 10 hours per week. We offer the opportunity to set your own schedule, work from your own desired location and receive timely reimbursement for services provided.
We offer independently contracted providers (1099) the opportunity to build a practice while having the resources, marketing, systems, and client pipeline support of a group practice. Better Self PLLC dba Myndworx will provide you with a telehealth platform, Electronic Health Records platform, a stream of clients, and will handle billing and insurance claim submissions. Practitioners must be able to offer a minimum of 15 (and up to 35) clinical sessions per week and will receive a 75/25 split; 75% to you. As independent contractors, our practitioners have the flexibility to choose their own schedule based on what’s right for them, and Better Self provides the caseload to fit the chosen availability.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Master's degree in a Mental Health field.
- Fully independently licensed clinician (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LPA in the state of Virginia and current license or willingness to become licensed in at least two additional states listed (OR, KY, DC, MD) If you are licensed in Virginia and willing to become licensed in two additional states we will begin onboarding with just the Virginia license.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection (for telehealth sessions).
- Private, quiet space (for telehealth client sessions).
- Must have your own computer with webcam (for telehealth session).
- Expertise in clinical skills in evaluation, crisis intervention, and case management.
- Proven ability to interact with diverse populations and be culturally sensitive.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to give and receive constructive criticism.
- Must be computer literate and able to type clinical notes and reports in word processing format.
- Ability to build rapport with clients and adjust to changing priorities in treatment.
- Strong work ethic and ability to prioritize tasks and keep documentation and procedures in a timely fashion.
- Versatile and experienced clinician willing to work with adults, children, couples and families presenting with a variety of issues.

Responsibilities:
Interact with and counsel clients to assist them in gaining insight and awareness, defining goals, and planning action to improve personal, social, educational, or vocational development and adjustment.
Identify psychological, emotional, or behavioral issues, using information obtained from interviews, tests, records, or reference materials and provide clinical diagnosis using ICD10 coding.
Consult with or provide consultation to other doctors, therapists, or clinicians regarding patient care.
Evaluate effectiveness of counseling or treatments and the correctness and completeness of diagnoses, modifying treatment plans or diagnoses as necessary.
Refer clients to other specialists, institutions, or support services as necessary.
Keep accurate documentation of patient information including intake documents, session notes, progress notes, recommendations, and treatment plans within 24 hours after the service has been completed
Ensure that all necessary documentation (data, HIPAA, consent) has been collected from new clients
Attend monthly check-in team meetings to learn about updates and changes in requirements.
Effectively create and carry out treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
Submit timesheet every two weeks reflecting the billable hours worked and request reimbursement for contracted services rendered.
Maintain client’s charts and keep complete and correct documentation.
Complete discharge summaries as required.
Develop rapport with clients in order to facilitate a healthy professional relationship.
Exercise sound clinical and professional judgment using evidence-based practices.
Establish open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issues.
Implement and review treatment plans.
