Overview
Our company is experiencing growth and we are seeking another Technical Sales Engineer / Technical Account Manager for our Western NA Region which includes CA, WA, OR, NV, AZ, UT. This role includes identifying, qualifying, and engaging with potential large OEM and end user customers. The Technical Sales Engineer will manage the sales cycle and assist potential customers in the technical evaluation of Diamond solutions into their machines and processes. Our consultative sales approach involves understanding the customer technical needs and being able to apply or work with engineering to modify our standard products to meet these needs and project manage development design ins. Technical Sales activities are via email, phone and direct customer meetings. Our products include embedded barcode reading, hand held barcode solutions, RFID, machine vision systems, Data Collection solutions, machine automation components, industrial communications solutions, software and hardware solutions. Our markets include Medical Device, Lab Instrumentation, and Kiosk manufacturers, Robot System Suppliers, General Manufacturing, and Warehouse and Material handling.
Responsibilities
- Manage sales prospecting activities in Western Region (CA,NV, AZ, UT, WA, OR) including identification and targeting of key OEM customers
- Lead qualification through email, phone and direct customer meetings
- Understand customers' technical requirements and work with engineering to develop feasible solutions
- Present Diamond Solutions via direct customer meetings
- Develop and present customer proposals
- Manage the sales and technical evaluation process
- Support customers engineering group through development process and Project manage design ins.
- Provide forecast and budgeting for management
Educational Background and Requirements
- Bachelors in Engineering or similar technical degree
- Ability to work from home office
- 3+ years prior engineering and sales experience
- Consultative sales experience a plus
- Technical Project Management a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic
- Competitive attitude
- Ability to travel
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
