Job Description
Hosts are an essential part of the service team as they greet guests, seamlessly coordinate dining room flows and manage reservations. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong attention to detail, professional demeanor, and a personable way with guests. A host should also be able to assist with periodic office tasks such as: receiving a high volume phone calls, printing menus and ensuring the highest standards are being met.
**The hourly rate for this position will be determined based on previous experience in a similar position or administrative position, and does not include tips (which the position is eligible for).
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Complete opening duties as assigned
- Warmly welcome, assist, and seat guests
- Seamlessly coordinate dining room flows and manage reservations
- Serve as a receptionist by answering calls (e.g., taking reservations and orders, answering questions, receiving and communicating messages for other staff members, etc.)
- Set up, maintain, and clear table settings with precision and attention to detail
- Flawlessly and gracefully serve food and beverages to our guests
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen and Front of House managers to ensure guest satisfaction
- Learn the details of the Company’s ever-changing seasonal menu; be aware of what's in season, cooking methods, and able to provide extensive food descriptions
- Take to-go orders and follow protocols to package food, take payments, and efficiently communicate with guests
- Embrace a teamwork mindset, offering support across various areas as needed
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations
Requirements:
- Previous service experience at a full-service restaurant is preferred
- Previous receptionist or administrative experience is preferred but not required
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements:
- Able to walk/stand the entire shift
- Lift and carry up to 50lbs.
- Able to reach, bend and stoop
- Can walk up and down stairs throughout the shift

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
