NES is looking for a Heavy Equipment Tire Technician to work on the North Slope of Alaska at Prudhoe Bay. You will stay at a base camp with food and housing provided while on the slope.
Heavy Duty Tire Technicians are primarily responsible for inspecting, changing and fixing heavy equipment and drilling rig tires. Tires are typical to the following equipment: loaders, graders, rock trucks, tractor trailers, cranes, and drilling rigs.
Repair Work will either be in the shop or in the field with arctic conditions. This position is on the North Slope of Alaska which is an Arctic Environment. Work rotation is planned to be 3 weeks on 3 weeks off, but may vary depending on project requirements.
Essential Duties and Job Requirements
· Inspect, change and repair tires
· Use mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment as needed.
· Knowledge of heavy equipment operations, large OTR tires and split rims.
· Perform other duties as required
· Comply with company and customer policies and procedures.
· Report all incidents involving injuries, spills, equipment malfunction or damage to the supervisor.
· Support zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
Minimum Experience
· High School Diploma or GED
· 2 years OTR tireman
· Arctic oilfield experience is preferred.
Job Requirements
· Ability to obtain Class B CDL
·Ability to work long hours in an artic enviroment
