Essential duties and responsibilities
The following duties and responsibilities represent the essential functions of this job that an individual must be able to perform with or without a reasonable accommodation:

Prepare written material for final copy and publication by reviewing and editing content for clarity, grammar/syntax, accuracy/factuality, punctuation, spelling, and readability, and style; format using Microsoft® Word or Excel® features or other tools, including the eChecklist.

Rewrite or modify copy to clarify meaning and to conform to corporate style and policy.

Review content of eChecklist/accreditation report against standards manual and other guidelines to ensure that it is accurate and appropriate; follow up, as needed, using earlier versions or with content editor, senior report quality specialist, survey team, and/or resource specialist to resolve issues and discrepancies; make changes as needed, including revising content and making rating changes in eChecklist.

Confer with content reviewer/resource specialist regarding changes and recommendations to improve copy, as necessary.

Utilize data from eChecklist to create benchmarking graphs for Aging Services/CCRC reports.

Update/maintain Pivotal CRM (AIMS) database for any necessary changes identified by survey team or other internal/external stakeholders; confer with customer service units as needed for authorization or clarification of any changes.

Prepare accreditation report, accreditation/certification notification letters, certificates, and Quality Improvement Plan/Plan of Action forms from templates or reports.

Review quality of final print or electronic publication before release; distribute documentation to customers via AIMS and/or email.

Prioritize work according to organizational timelines and adhere to organizational deadlines.

Perform QA review on a fixed schedule.

Offer constructive feedback to peer editors to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Support the team lead with maintaining job aids and in-house style guide, ensuring that they are accurate and current and making updates as needed.

Assist the team lead in training and onboarding new team members, as requested.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The market entry salary for this full-time, non-exempt position is $20.52 hourly USD, payable semi-monthly. Actual starting salary is commensurate with education and experience. WORK LOCATION
Based in Tucson, AZ, this position is not eligible for relocation assistance or full-time remote work. However, this position may be eligible for part-time remote work.
The following qualifications represent the training, education, certifications, licensures, and/or work experience required to perform the essential duties and responsibilities successfully:

Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communication, or related field; three (3) years’ editing and/or writing experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong knowledge of grammar and punctuation rules; knowledge of editorial techniques, formats, and styles; ability to utilize corporate style guide.

Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with expertise in advanced formatting/editing features; working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Professional, including editing features; and the ability to use and interpret the CARF proprietary database and eChecklist.
