Faculty Position in Human Anatomy Description:
The Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) seeks an experienced basic science educator in human gross anatomy and embryology to teach medical students, physician assistant (PA) students, and students in associated biomedical programs. Ability to contribute to histology/cell biology teaching is an advantage. Candidates must have a strong interest in biomedical and graduate education, student mentoring, and academic support.
As faculty, they will focus on implementation and delivery of highly integrated, organ-systems-based curricula with a clinical emphasis. Scholarly activity in medical education and/or basic science research is expected.
Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience. However, our preference is to hire at the Assistant/Associate Professor faculty rank. Information about MSM is available on our web site: http://www.msm.edu

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in human anatomy or a related discipline, have prior teaching experience in a medical or biomedical anatomy program, and possess excellent communication skills. Evidence of teaching excellence in both the lecture and dissection rooms, and commitment to professional development and leadership in education is essential. Faculty with active bench-top research programs are encouraged to apply, although currently funded.
