Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various culinary environments, including catering, restaurants, or food service. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while adhering to food safety standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook menu items in compliance with established recipes and guidelines
- Assist with menu planning and contribute to the development of new dishes
- Ensure all food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed
- Follow proper food handling procedures and maintain sanitation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, fryers, and knives
Skills:
- Proven experience as a Cook in the food industry or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience as a dietary aide is a plus
