**Position Overview:**
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Security Camera Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting security camera systems. This role requires a strong understanding of surveillance technology, network infrastructure, and security protocols.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **System Design and Planning:** Collaborate with clients to assess their security needs and design customized camera systems to meet their requirements. Develop comprehensive plans for camera placement, coverage areas, and network infrastructure.
2. **Installation and Configuration:** Install, configure and integrate security cameras, DVRs/NVRs, and associated equipment. Ensure proper alignment, focus, and functionality of cameras for optimal performance.
3. **Network Integration:** Configure network settings and protocols to enable seamless integration of security cameras with existing network infrastructure. Implement appropriate security measures to safeguard against unauthorized access.
4. **Troubleshooting and Maintenance:** Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics to ensure the ongoing functionality of security camera systems. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues or malfunctions promptly.
5. **Quality Assurance:** Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance checks on newly installed or upgraded camera systems. Verify that all components are functioning correctly and meeting performance standards.
6. **Documentation and Reporting:** Maintain accurate records of all installations, configurations, maintenance activities, and repairs. Generate detailed reports for clients and internal stakeholders as needed.
7. **Training and Support:** Provide training and technical support to clients and end-users on operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting security camera systems. Offer guidance and assistance to ensure optimal equipment utilization.
**Qualifications:**
- A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in designing, installing, and maintaining security camera systems.
- Strong knowledge of surveillance technology, including IP cameras, analog cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and video management software.
- Proficiency in networking concepts, protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.), and configuration.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to video surveillance and data privacy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Security+, etc.) are a plus.
**Additional Information:**
This position may require occasional travel to client sites for installations, maintenance, or troubleshooting. Flexibility in work hours may be necessary to accommodate project deadlines or emergencies.
