Exciting opportunity - located in Farmington Hills, MI to be a Pro Specialist for the tile and flooring industry in East MI!
Position Summary:
The Pro Specialist will be responsible for growing and attracting existing and new House Accounts through phone calls, emails, training, and engagement with customers.
Essential Functions:
- Engage and interact with existing Woodworking House Accounts to increase business.
- Prospect and capture new Woodworking House Accounts to increase business.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of products to better assist House Account customers with product and technical questions.
- Develop meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty.
- Follow up on cold and warm leads to further the sales process.
- Meet sales goals and objectives set by leadership.
- Improve sales skills to increase sales success rates.
- Oversee product claims for House Accounts per the VTC claims process.
- Occasional travel outside of the branch is a possibility.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Actively listen to customers to understand needs and present products that are consistent with customer needs and preferences
- Provide recommendations to meet space, style, and cost requirements
- Deliver exceptional customer service by exceeding customer expectations
- Maintain knowledge of competitors and their products
- Increase accounts through face-to-face meetings or by making outbound calls
- Plan and execute events to attract and retain clients
- Follow up with clients to close sale (negotiating skills)
- Strong Computer Skills
- Understands basic mechanical data
Minimum Qualifications
- High level of attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Great communication and people skills
- 6 months experience in sales related field or direct industry experience
