We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA INSPECTOR that will work closely with the QA Manager to assist the shop and field operations to join our team. The QA Inspector will inspect work in the process of shop fabrication and field construction of metal products and applied coatings to ensure conformance with the Production drawings, internal company criteria, and applicable standards. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks is a plus. This position will travel 30% and pay is in the $85,000 - $105,000 range depending on experience and current certifications with competitive benefits.
Job Duties:

Perform appropriate in-process inspections.

Audits surface preparation

Perform routine inspections for surface contaminants

Checking and evaluating coatings in accordance with specific procedures.

Document inspection activities.

Complete Daily Monitoring Reports.

Report all non-conformities to the QA/QC Manager and complete NCR’s when required.

Prepare and sign Coating Inspection Reports.

Detect non-compliant products.

Interpret project specific quality standards.

Ability to use coating specific measuring tools.

Ability to perform destructive testing of coatings as needed

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

All other related tasks.

Perform plant and job site inspections to evaluate welding and coatings and the company established acceptance criteria.

Document and distribute the inspection process using the Plant or Job Site inspection form.

Five+ years of experience preferred

NACE Level 2 Coating Inspector (will consider NACE Level 1 based on experience)

CWI is a plus but not required

Experience in stainless steel, carbon steel, and nickel alloy welding is a plus.
